Linksys

I’m at a loss when it comes to computers. If it’s not point and click I get confused real quick. We have two computers and have them connected to the internet with a Linksys Broadband Router. My computer is the main one. From time to time Penny will holler from her room saying she has lost her internet connection. Resetting the router always fixes the problem. A few nights ago I was sitting here and lost my connection to the internet. It was late so I shut everything down and went to bed. The next day I messed with it but the only way I could get the internet to work was bypass the router. Thinking the router had given up we broke down and bought a new one. Not knowing at the time dummy me got a couple of wires crossed and things still wouldn’t work. Today I got into a pissing match with the cable company. I hate 1001 questions when all I wanted was a new cable modem. The lady finally said fine we will send someone out this evening to swap them. When I got home this afternoon I messed with it some more and figured out I had a couple wires crossed, when I swapped them around *POOF* I was connected again. Long story short, I got flustered and Penny is now trying to get her computer to recognize the new router. A call to Linksys will fix it or at least it has in the past. I’m going to watch tv and let her figure it all out.

  1. I’m hopeless when it comes to hardware too. I hope Penny is up and running. Uh, computerwise. Otherwise, I hope she has her feet up and is relaxing.
